Terms of Service

Last updated: May 21, 2026

1. Overview

RUMO (“the Service”) is a web application operated by Chad Stamm (“we,” “us,” “our”). By using RUMO, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

2. What RUMO Does

RUMO helps you create structured context documents — called Context Anchors — through guided questions. These anchors are designed to be used with AI tools to improve the quality of AI-generated output. RUMO doesn't provide AI output itself; it helps you build better inputs.

3. Your Content

Everything you write in RUMO belongs to you. Your answers, your documents, your Context Anchors — all yours. We don't claim ownership of any content you create through the Service.

If you're signed in, your data is stored securely in our database. You can export your content at any time using the Copy or Download buttons in your vault. If you cancel your subscription, your account and content stay — your vault becomes read-only. You can still view, copy, and download your anchors, but you'll need to resubscribe to make new edits or run AI flows.

4. Free and Paid Features

The Personal Constitution builder is free — no account required. It's the full RUMO experience for that anchor, not a demo.

Full vault access — including the other five Context Anchors (Writing Codex, Story Bank, State of the Union, Timeline, and Influence Roster), the Chart Your Course guided session, AI editing flows (adding new material to your anchors, restating your State of the Union, and splitting uploaded documents into individual entries), and vault management — requires an annual subscription of $49/year.

Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each annual period. You can cancel anytime via the Stripe Customer Portal — your access continues through the end of the current billing period, then the vault shifts to read-only.

5. Payments and Cancellation

Payments are processed securely through Stripe. We don't store your payment information.

Paid subscriptions are non-refundable. Here's why: the free Personal Constitution tier lets anyone fully experience RUMO's quality before committing. Once you've subscribed, you've had meaningful access to the product. You can cancel anytime to prevent auto-renewal — access continues through the end of the period you paid for, and after that the vault becomes read-only rather than deleted.

6. Acceptable Use

Use RUMO for its intended purpose: building personal context documents. Don't use the Service to generate harmful, illegal, or misleading content. Don't attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or disrupt the Service.

7. Privacy

Your privacy matters. See our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle your data. The short version: we don't sell your data, we don't use your content to train AI models, and we collect only what's needed to run the Service.

8. Disclaimer

RUMO is provided “as is.” We do our best to keep the Service running smoothly, but we can't guarantee uninterrupted access or that the output will meet every expectation. AI tools are unpredictable — better context helps, but results vary.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms as the Service evolves. Significant changes will be communicated through the Service or via email if you have an account. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, USA, without regard to conflict of laws principles. Any disputes arising from your use of RUMO will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Colorado.
