Privacy Policy

When you use RUMO, we collect the answers you provide to our anchor builder questions, any writing samples you submit for voice analysis, and the Context Anchor documents we generate on your behalf — including your Personal Constitution, Writing Codex, Story Bank, State of the Union, Timeline, and Influence Roster.

For records-shaped anchors (Story Bank, Timeline, Influence Roster), we store the individual entries you add and edit over time in your vault.

If you choose to upload an existing document (a .md or .txt file) to seed an anchor, we store that content as the starting point for that anchor. You can edit or replace it from your vault at any time.

We collect your email address when you sign in or create an account. If you purchase a subscription, we receive your email from Stripe and use it to create or update your RUMO account.

If you're signed in, your data lives in Supabase, our managed Postgres database. All data is encrypted at rest and isolated by user via row-level security — your anchors are only ever visible to you. If you're using the free Personal Constitution builder without an account, your answers are saved locally in your browser until you decide to create an account.

We do not sell your data. We do not share your information with third parties for marketing or any other purpose. We do not use your writing samples, anchor answers, vault entries, or generated documents to train AI models — ours, Anthropic's, or anyone else's.

RUMO uses Anthropic’s Claude API to generate your Context Anchors and power AI editing flows — adding new material to your anchors, restating your State of the Union, and splitting uploaded documents into individual entries. When you build an anchor or run an AI flow, your answers and any relevant vault content are sent to Anthropic for processing. Per Anthropic's commercial terms, they do not use API input or output to train their models.

We also rely on Supabase (database and authentication) and Stripe (payment processing). These are the only third parties that touch your data.

Export anytime.Use the Copy or Download buttons in your vault to grab any anchor — or your entire vault — as markdown. No account deletion required.

Delete on request. Email hello@withrumo.com and we'll delete your account and all associated data within 7 days.

Access and correction. You can edit any anchor directly in the vault while subscribed. To request a copy of all data we hold on you, email hello@withrumo.com.

RUMO uses cookies for authentication and analytics. We use analytics tools to understand how visitors use the site. These tools collect anonymized usage data. We do not use tracking cookies for advertising.

We keep your data as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription, your data is retained so that if you resubscribe you pick up where you left off. If you request deletion, your data is removed within 7 days.

RUMO is operated from the US. By using RUMO, you consent to your data being processed in the US. If you're in the EU, UK, or California and want to invoke specific rights — access, deletion, or portability under GDPR or CCPA — email hello@withrumo.com and we'll respond promptly.
